About Cosign
We check so you don't have to.
Picture this.
It is a weekday lunch break. A woman sits in her car with her phone, twelve tabs open. Her father lives on his own across town and has started missing calls. Nothing has happened. She would like to keep it that way, without making him feel handled.
Every product says it is easy. One help button looks right until the fine print shows a monthly plan. A motion sensor looks simple until she finds it needs a hub she would have to buy separately. A smart display looks friendly, but it can connect a video call without him answering, and he would hate that. Lunch ends. The tabs stay open.
Now picture a program director across town. Her inbox holds another round of vendor pitches, each one promising to fix staffing and keep people safe. The people her team supports each live a different life in a different home. She knows a tool that works in one apartment can fall apart in the next, and her staff will be the ones living with it at two in the morning.
Different seats. Same question: will this work, for this person, in this home?
That question deserves a real answer. That is why Cosign exists.
Cosign is a neutral guide to home technology and age tech for families of people with disabilities, older adults, and the providers who support them. It is organized by everyday need, like remembering medication, staying in touch with family, or getting help when something goes wrong, and each need page starts with the questions worth asking before you buy.
Every listing is checked first. We show the regular price, not the sale price, and a separate line for the monthly cost. We list what else you need to make it work. We say who it might fit, how it can be used at home, and when to talk with the person first. When a product looked right but turned out to be built for something else, we left it off and said why. When a product was out of stock or had no price on the maker's page, it went on a held list instead of the main list. Every listing shows the date it was last checked.
Sponsored spots, if Cosign carries them, are always labeled, and they never buy a cosign.
One more thing about where we stand. Technology is the tool. The person is the point. The right tool gives a family back some of their lunch breaks and gives a support team a little more room for the human part of the work. It does not replace either one.
So close a few tabs. Start with the need. We check so you don't have to.
