An app that connects a blind or low-vision person with a trained visual interpreter by live video, whenever they choose to call.
How it can be used at home
A blind adult who just moved into their own apartment calls an interpreter to read the oven settings and sort the mail.
Notes and limits
Talk with the person first. New users get three free welcome calls, and Aira is free at participating partner locations per the maker. Plans run from $26 a month (20 minutes) up to $1,160 a month (880 minutes). The person decides when to call and what to show.
