Amazon Echo Show 21 (2024 release)
by Amazon
Last checked: Oct 25, 2026
What it does
Amazon's largest smart display, a 21-inch screen that hangs on the wall for video calls, photos, calendars, and reminders.
How it can be used at home
A man with low vision who has agreed to having a camera in his living room mounts it at eye level, where the big screen makes the day's calendar and family video calls easier to see. He can close the camera shutter or press the camera-off button anytime.
Notes and limits
Talk with the person first, especially about the camera, and agree together on who can call. It can be wall-mounted to keep cords and stands off the floor. The wall mount, screws, and anchors come in the box, and mounting needs a drill. At 10.7 lb, it is best to have two people hang it. Pick a spot near an outlet so the 5 ft cord runs down the wall, not across the floor. Amazon lists a built-in camera shutter and a camera-off button. A stand is sold separately. Price $499.99 on the check date (launch price was $399.99). Needs Wi-Fi and an Amazon account.
