What it does
Shuts off a gas stove when the smoke alarm keeps sounding.
How it can be used at home
A young man with an intellectual disability who is learning to cook on his own makes dinner, knowing the stove turns off if the smoke alarm keeps going.
Notes and limits
Waits 30 seconds so minor cooking smoke doesn't shut it off. Free app alerts with no monthly fee per the maker. The gas version works on the stove's gas supply, so read the install guide before buying and use a qualified installer if unsure. Batch 1 lists FireAvert's electric model; this is the separate gas model.
