Aqara Presence Sensor FP2
by Aqara
Last checked: Oct 21, 2026
What it does
A small radar sensor that knows when someone is in a room, even sitting still, and can turn on lights or run routines. It has an optional fall alert mode.
How it can be used at home
An older adult who chose it for their bathroom has the light come on the moment they walk in. They also turned on the fall alert so a notice goes to their son.
Notes and limits
Talk with the person first. Turn on alerts to someone else only if they agree, and let them choose which rooms have one. No camera; it uses radar. Must stay plugged in, and needs 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Fall mode only works when mounted on the ceiling, and the maker says it is not a medical device. Works with Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home and Home Assistant per the maker. The Aqara Home app has no in-app purchases.
